Golden Milk (Turmeric Latte)

The perfect winter warmer!

A fantastic alternative to coffee. This take on a Turmeric Latte will set you up for the perfect day.

Turmeric has amazing anti-inflammatory properties that host an array of health benefits. Give it a go and let us know what you think!

You will need:

- Plant milk of choice

- 7 cardamom pods

- 6 cloves

- 1 cinnamon stick

- 5 black peppercorns

- 1 tbsp freshly grated turmeric (be careful of staining)

- 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger

- Maple syrup or dark honey


1. Grind the cardamom pods and peppercorns roughly in a mortar and transfer into a medium sized pot.

2. Add the plant milk, cinnamon stick, cloves, turmeric and ginger to the pot. Cover and bring to a boil. Make sure to observe the pot all the time - it may show signs of boiling over in the first couple of minutes.

3. Simmer at a medium heat for 10-15 minutes (the longer you simmer, the more spice you'll get from the ginger so simmer to taste). When the milk is ready, pour through a fine sieve. Sweeten to taste with the maple syrup or honey.

4. Once cooled, you can store your golden milk in the fridge for several days! An amazing alternative to coffee!
